The Dirt
Section purpose: To provide useful information not found in books, adcoms, websites, etc. These are actions that have been rumored to help your chances in gaining admission to said medical school. Keep responses in bullet format, prose may be used in discussion section. Limit only to those that are most relevant and true.

Pre-Interview Suggestions
- School likes graduates of its own post-bacc program
- School likes non-traditional students
- School likes volunteerism, clinical experience, etc
- Call the admissions office to inquire about application (eg Wake)
- Let them know you are interviewing nearby at other schools(eg NYC)

Interview Day Suggestions
- Meet with Dr. X
- Pretend like you like Football Team X (eg Michigan), Basketball Team Y (eg Duke), Baseball Team Z (eg Boston)
- Staying with a host shows interest in school
- Students have say on adcom - Be aware

Post-Interview Suggestions
- Letter of Intent (statement saying you intend to matriculate if accepted) (most schools)
- Update application (most schools)
- Pull some strings with the university brass (mommy or daddy)
- Bribery (eg Harvard)
