"How would you handle a customer/patient that was becoming confrontational?"
"what area of pharmacy are you interested in?"
"I didn't know what to expect for the Oral Exam, don't worry too much. You read an excerpt and answer a question. The question doesn't pertain to anything you just had to read. It's basic questions like: What is your favorite TV show and why? What is your favorite movie and why? What do you like to do on the weekends? etc."
"Tell me about how you decided to pursue pharmacy."
"They ask questions relating with your supplemental essay? My essay question is "My favorite teacher". There is a part of interview process in which they will record how you read a paragraph. After that, the computer will prompt a topic, "My favorite TV channel". You have only one 1 minutes to speak. No time for preparation. Anyway, I hope you do well in your interview like me. Good Luck. "
"What is a challenging class for you?"
"What was your favorite class?"

"How do you define integrity?"
"none were particularly interesting..."
"Nothing really, they were all pretty basic."
"Does pharmacy involve application or memorization?"
"In my essay, I talk about my class research project from O-Chem? Professor asked What technique I used for my class project? Make sure u know your supplemental essay?"
"How do you study? Alone or with a group? (it seemed that they like u to study with a group)"
"If one of my friends was asked what one characteristic best describes me, what would they say?"
"They kept on hovering over studying habits"
"I had to read some information about a drug and answer a question (what is your favorite movie and why?) while they video taped me."
"What electives did you take at college?"
"When is one time you were in a professional leader role?"
"Can't remember"
"what have you learning outside of school"
"None of them were too difficult. They made everything feel like we were just having a conversation."
"the professionalism one"
"They were all pretty expected."
"Strengths and weaknesses. The interviewer kept drilling me about my weakness and how I was working on it, whether it could be a good quality at times, etc."
"Not really. One question is Why midwest since the school is located in midwest?"
"How did you explore the practice here in US? (I am an international student-- I wasn't ready for this question although I should've thought about it!)"
"Why choose pharmacy over graduate school?"
"Why should we choose you over other applicants?"
"Why do you think that certain questions and self evalutations were placed on the supp. Application"
"What do you have to offer the program that other applicants do not have? What are your weaknesses?"
"peruse their website"
"SDN, practice with friends, mock interview, youtube, google..."
"sample interview questions"
"Past interview experience and reading over some questions on here."
"SDN, and I had already had a couple interviews"
"The Purdue Website (know why you want to go to the school), SDN (know what to expect), 5 interviews before that (practice). "
"SDN questions and school feedbacks, reviewed the Purdue website"
"Reading this site. Speaking byself at room. Feel what you speak. Make sure you communicate when you practice"
"SDN, practiced some expected Qs"

"read the website, practiced the answers to typical questions"
"The professors and group Q&A was very insightful."
"The faculty and staff were very nice; two people interviewed me"
"faculty and students are nice"
"Everyone seemed warm and welcoming."
"The current students were very receptive, open, and friendly!"
"The people in the area are really REALLY nice! I flew in from Chicago, drove over to Indiana, not expecting a time difference! But, there sure was one! Purdue is on eastern standard time! Luckily, I had 10 minutes to spare. But, I got lost trying to find the building, a very nice student, walked me over and talked to me about the surrounding area! Insider information is always great! =)"
"The interviewers were really nice and laid-back. The campus seems really nice."
"School has its own air port? School compound and facilities are large. Very diverse although midwest"
"friendly faculty and staff"
"The interviewers talked alot about clinical research opportunities"
"the school hsa a great reputation and really seems to care about recruiting well-rounded individuals for their program"
"The school is grand!! and also the community. Cheap housing close to campus...everything was good"
"everybody was very friendly and laid back"
"Very friendly faculty. Purdue has a neat campus and is in a fun area."
"The entire interview process. It seemed very uncoordinated. There were no information packets to keep with you, no presentation about the school, did not meet the dean, no school tour. For such a respected school I thought they would brag about themselves."
"The school looked really really depressing, could barely see the green on the tree; all were die, burn, even grass. The weather was supper cold at that time, and wind a lot, compare to the West region). The school architecture was old (I'm surprised because Purdue have very strong engineering program, how come they can keep the building urly like that?)"
"school is old, and no campus tour"
"Buildings seemed older. The weather was nasty that day, but they can't control that... or can they?? j/k"
"things seemed a little disorganized... at least compared to other interview sessions I have been to. It was very random, and kind of "do this when you have time" instead of an agenda really. also the location isn't really ideal.. at least for me - I like to live in more urban areas. "
"The area, there is no diversity at all! It's a very small college town with not much to do. The town is surrounded by pretty much nothing! Everything is about a 100mile radius outside, Chicago and Indianapolis. During the interview day, they had Pre-Pharmacy students at the check in table, taking you from one place to another, in charge of the written and oral part. How do they put so much trust in a Pre-Pharm student? Actually, during my interview, the person in charge of the Oral Exam was a pre-pharm student that was also apply at the same time as I. =("
"No tour of the school was given so I couldn't get a feel for how I would like it there. Also, the majority of people have to move out of the city to do rotations."
"Since I am accepted already, I am not sure what negatively impressed. May be depressing weather."
"The location of the campus, the oral and written exercises"
"the interviewers didn't have any specific questions, they just kind of looked through my application and asked me about various things"
"Cold"
"didn't know where to park"
"I had to pay to park."
"That there would be no tour, I wouldve went around and explored if I had more time."
"The bus service was annoying. It took me 4 hours to get to the hotel just 6 miles away. Taxi service was terrible as I heard (wasn't my case though). You definitely should booked the hotel near the school if you are out - of -state"
"don't be nervous"
"That it was going to be raining... all day. I needed an umbrella."
"that the interview would be closed file! apparently it is something they just decided to try this year"
"Time difference. Also, because the class size at Purdue is so big and there are a lot of pre-pharmacy students, you bet you'll have to move out of the area to find rotations spots. There is no big, main hospital in the area, so you're very limited to what you can do as a student! =("
"Bus schedule time to get to West lafeyette from Indianipolis. If u miss the bus, two hours wait."
"There is a written and oral exercise you have to complete after your interview, although they are pretty easy"
"how big the university really was"
"nothing"
"Don't eat at BigHead burrito."
"Overall, I expected better from Purdue. Ive done 5 interviews and this one was the least organized and most disappointing. I dont understand how a school so highly ranked doesnt even give a presentation OR show you the classroom youll be in your entire first year."
"The weather + country scene made me a little bit down, hopefully it would be better when spring comes"
"nothing"
"Overall, the interview was easy. The written quiz/essay was not hard at all. The oral communication part was easy as well. There were some misspellings in the section I had to read, but what can you do?"
"Overall, I had a good experience. The people are nice. The immediate area is good; the surrounding areas not so appealing. I didn't really learn much about the school and the program while there though, because the hosts were pre-pharmers! So, make sure to ask during the interview! To clarify what I wanted to know as an out-of-state applicant: During my interview, I asked the faculty about rumor of out-of-state students being accepted at a lower percentage than others. He claims that the percentage that they have is for the initial cut of...meaning that is the numbers game for interviewees. Once you get the interview invite, everyone is on the same playing field. I got in! In the end, that's all that matters! =)"
"My interview was the best experience I have ever had. After written part and oral part, I get off my restroom. I met the professor who interviewed me. He took me to his place where he do research."
"The interview was too short and I had more questions to ask, but I felt like they needed to move to the next candidate. However, they seemed engaged in what I had to say and they were definitely trying to sell the school."
"First I had a 30 minute interview with a professor and a student, then I went over to another biulding and completed my oral and written exercises. The whole process took about 1.5 hours. Everyone was very friendly and relaxed."
"i would go there if they accepted me!!"
"the interviewers were very laid back and basically asked me questions about my life and activities"
"Great. The interview was relaxed, the interviewers were friendly. "
