"Why did you choose to major in math?"
"what are your hobbies etc."
"nothing unusual"
"What do you do to relax when stressed from studies?"
"What would I do if not medicine or science?"
"Not interesting so much as shocking. They asked "If I had a boyfriend," and "If i would miss my family." The questions surprised me because they seemed personal and out of the scope of possible questions they were allowed to ask."
"Nothing really"
"Nothing very interesting"
"if you could not work in medicine, what would you do?"
"Are you ready to move?"
"None"
"No interesting questions asked. He hardly let me speak!"
"If I was an observant Jew (They don't discriminate based on religion, it is just that Tel-Aviv is a very cosmopolitan and secular city, so some observant Jews do not feel comfortable there, I guess)"
"How do plan to succeed in medical school?"
"No difficult questions, it was very laid back"
"how do you deal with stress"
"If you were not a doctor, what other profession would you choose?"
"Are you prepared to go to Tel Aviv for 4 years"
"Nothing difficult to answer. However, the classic questions can be the hardest to answer well! "
"Give a chronology of your background and why you want to be a doctor."
"What would I do if I couldn't go to medical school. Not just reapply next year but a completely different field I would go into."
"Nothing really at all"
"It wasn't too difficult the "hardest" thing was the classic name your strength and weaknesses"
"none, pretty straightforward questions"
"I was asked to discuss a research project I was involved in 5 years ago in detail. He wanted to make sure I didn't overstuff my CV. "
"None, the interview was very low stress."
"Reviewed program website"
"Read possible questions and practice answers"
"SDN, Reviewed my application, mock interview"
"read over my CV"
"sdn/sackler website"
"Reviewed Sackler's website"
"go over application, sdn"

"SDN, re-read my application and essays, read the school website"
"School's website, SDN interview feedbacks, thought up answers to universal 'interview' type questions, outlined some current health topics."
"Read the school website, reviewed my application, practiced questions."
"Read the Sackler Webpage and the student doctor forums."
"Read the website."
"Read about the school, some general interview questions, re-read application questions"
"school's website, re-read AMCAS application"
"I spoke to a fourth year student. The office was happy to put me in touch with one. "
"SDN, reviewed my application, checked out their site"
"Website, practice interviews, reading up on current events."
"Went onto the school's website. Re-read my application and reviewed the main points I wanted to cover."
"Strong alumni results; they are around of their "New York Letter" which seems largely ceremonial"
"the interviewer, the video, the office, the pride they take in Match Day"
"The interviewer was extremely nice and seemed genuinely interested in my application. They remade the promotional video, and it is really informative and made me excited about the school. The office was also beautiful."
"interviewer was really nice, seemed really knowledgeable about the school (sackler Alum), and left me with an even more positive impression about the school"
"how happy the alumni who interviewed me was"
"Interviewer was an alumnus (recently graduted, doing residency at Cornell) so I enjoyed hearing about her personal experiences at the school and in Israel. The interview made me realize that I could fit in very well at Sackler, even though I had some doubts before the interview."
"interviewer is an alumni and spoke first hand about his experience going to sackler and getting a residency in the US"
"Very frank discussion about pros and cons of the school"
"the people who work there are really nice."
"The conversational tone of the interview, the resourcefulness of the interviewer and his friendliness."
"The interviewer had a lot of information to share"
"It was at a regional location. So a neutral impression at the most."
"The interviewer was very nice and she seemed interested in what I was saying."
"There seems to be a huge emphasis on clinical rotations, which puts TAU graduates ahead of their American contemporaries. In the US, the wards are geared mostly toward residents, but Israel is different in this regard. There is much more attention given to the third and fourth year students, and this leads to more self-assurance in residency. "
"They seemed pretty organized and very nice. "
"How seriously they take their academics and reputation, this is definitely NOT a diploma mill. Also they are chartered by the state of New York so if you apply for residencies in that state, you are not considered a foreign grad."
"Poor website"
"can't seem to think of anything negative"
"Nothing"
"honestly, nothing!"
"The video about life at Sackler/Israel could use some improvement. "
"I had to wait almost 40 min for my interview"
"Video-tour could use a little updating"
"the interviewer was an administrative person, who never went to sackler."
"Not much with the interview per se. I wish Sackler had informative packets to send to its applicants and a much more comprehensive website."
" I wasn't asked very many questions. The interviewer seemed unfamilar with my application."
"The interviewer. She obviously did not want to be there and said so "the only reason I'm here is because they begged me to come today and do interviews." She did not try to make me feel at ease."
"Nothin at all"
"The interviewer didn't ask any questions. I was given the opportuntity to ask all the questions i had about the school."
"The interviewer had not even read my sketch, and proceeded to skim it with me sitting beside him. I got the sense he had very little interviewing experience. Gave a fairly negative impression of the school. "Everyone at Sackler has something wrong with them," referring to the fact they couldn't get in to a N. American program."
"That I could have done my interview in Israel."
"that the offices are on the first floor of a brownstone (rather than a doorman type building with a lobby), so-if you wanted a minute to make a phone call, best to do it before you walk in!"
"how laid back the whole process was"
"That the absence of choice is the worst kind of choice."
" The interviewer has little influence as to whether or not you will be accepted. If you are invited for an interview then you have a good chance of being accepted."
"Nothing"
"I did not realize that their clinical years were so strong. During your rotations they dont make you do the usual 'busy work'. Instead, you work with the chief of the department (not an attending) and you are allowed to actually participate in surgical procedures, not just observe!"
"Really great school and fantastic interview process; I wish their website was better organized and had more information"
"Not stiff or high stress at all - I only wish acceptances (or decision letters in general) weren't sent out so late"
"Much more organized than I expected, really laid back and personal, very conversational interview, they just want to get to know who you are."
"really loved the school - it was/is my first choice (over US programs!), and the interview only reinforced my positive feelings."
"laid back, more of a conversation then an interview. I probably asked the alumni more questions then he asked me."
"very relaxed "
"i came half an hr early and the lady took me 15min earlier then my intended interview. she asked me to ask her questions. i asked questions for about 40 min or so and then she asked me about 4 questions, gave me a contact sheet of current students and we were done. then i watched a short video about the school."
"The interview was held locally, in Los Angeles. My interviewer was a pleasant. conversational family practioner. He was informative about the school in particular and the field in general and did not hesitate to be encouraging and supportive. Thankfully, no classic questions like: name your qualities/faults etc.... "
"More of an informational session than an interview."
"It was very lax. The interview was not an interview, but more of a conversation. I was pleased to hear the TRUE facts about the school and it being in the state of Israel. Fellas dont buy into that CNN crap.."
"very relaxed, straightforward. The interviewer was very nice and genuinely interested in what I had to say. He was mostly interested in making sure I could make the transition to living in Israel"
"The interviewer was very friendly and clearly enthusiastic about the school (he is a graduate, and seems to have made a good career for himself). He seemed very interested in my experiences, and was very open to my questions about the school and what I can expect upon graduation. "
"Interview was strange because I wasn't asked many questions. The interviewer just wanted me to get a feel for the school so i carried the convo."
"I was very prepared, knew I was a good candidate, but was quite unimpressed with both the interviewer and the admissions staff (rude on the phone and quite cold in person.)"
"Overall, it was great. The night before the interview, there was a 2 hour info session led by recent grads and it was obvious that their enthusiasm for the program was genuine. The interview itself was like an informal conversation, the interviewer really puts you at ease and tries to get to know you."
