"Tell us about yourself."
"Tell me about yourself."
"Tell me about yourself?"
"Tell me something abt. yourself"
"Why do you want to come to Xavier?"
"What made you want to become a Pharmacist."
"What, outside of the retail world, would you be interested in with your career in Pharmacy?"
"Where do you plan to live if admitted?"
"Where do you see yourself after you graduate?"
"What would you do if a professor reschedules a major exam to an earlier date...on a short notice?"
"Why did you choose pharmacy?"
"why do you want to attend Xavier?"
"Why Pharmacy School?"
"Why did u choose pharmacy?"
"Why pharmacy?"
"Will you be working while in the program."
"What made you dicide to attend Xavier for undergrad?"
"Why Xavier? Which school is your first choice?"
"Are you interested in research since you did some interesting undergraduate research?"
"What would you do if a pharm tech(s) left most of their responsibilities for you?"
"What is your greatest strength?"
"how will you support yourself financially while in school?"
"Why should we choose you?"
"Tell me what do u like to do for fun"
"What area of pharmacy are you interested in?"
"What made you choose Xavier."
"If your class was given an open book test and specifically told it was independant work and you knew students were getting together to complete it, what would you do?"
"Why do you want to be a pharmacist? Why not another health major?"
"Do you have questions you want to ask? I was asked this many times throughout the interview"
"List three qualities you think will help you survive the pharmacy program."
"What was the last thing you read?"
"Tell me about yourself"
"Tell me about your self? - To answer this question begin with your academic accomplishments. Then if you have any bad grades explain. - After that go to your motivation for pursing pharmacy. - Talk about your hardships in a postive light not to gain sympathy "
"If you take down one president's face from Mt. Rushmore, who would you put up there to replace him?"
"What area of pharmacy interested me?"
"Will I be working while in the Pharmacy Program"
"I was asked multiple times what I would do in the instance that I knew or saw another student cheating."
"where do you plan to live if admitted?"
"What would you do if a team member of yours fails to complete his/her own part of a group project...especially when there is very little to no time to turn in the project?"
"I was asked to rate myself on a scale of 1-10 on my written and verbal communication skills."
"How many hours a week did you study in undergrad??"
"Why Xavier University? - You may want to talk about its nationally recognized accomplishments. - Talk about its cirrculm Another Question: Do you know the licsence procedure? - Dude, this is a good question. Do you homework for the state of LA for the answer."
"Generally, tell me about yourself question."
"General tell me about yourself questions. "
"what would yo do if you were failing a couple of classes while in pharmacy school?"
"What kind of pharmacist you want to be, followed by where do you see yourself after you graduate. (I found myself stupidly repeating what I had already said)"
"Constant review of likely questions. Kudos to SDN as well."
"I looked at typical interview questions. This site was also a big help."
"this site and practice in front of a mirror."
"Well, I went through all interview feedbacks and created a list of questions and answers. I memorized them to a certain extent. I guess just enough to make me feel comfortable in the interview. If you are a girl, wear a blk or Navy Blue skirt suite for the interview with a faux Pearl necklace and Pearl earrings."
"This website"
"Read different things about the school and talked to students about the interview."
"Talked with pharmacy students"
"I go to the university for undergrad, so I knew about the pharm school. I just spoke with pharm students and made sure I knew current issues in pharmacy."
"practiced in front of mirror typical interview questions since there was not much interview feedback from this school- hope this will be useful to those applying to xavier"
"Read most pages from the school website; practice interview questions. Made sure I knew what I wanted to say about research/pharmacy carreer"
"umm...everything...? ...nearly at least."
"My interviewer was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable right away."
"the staff and admission team were nice and my interview started early since I arrive early."
"Everybody was extremely friendly and nice. They made me feel real confident before my interview."
"nice facility"
"The interviewer talked about the different areas of pharmacy and the things that you can do with a pharmD. degree."
"My interview was on time and my interviewer gave me some good advice."
"The ratio and kindess of students and teachers."
"everyone was nice and the campus was nice"
"Cleanliness of the school premises. Friendly staff. Interviewer talked about job/volunteering and research opportunities available if I were admitted."
"My flight/transportation costs :("
"As I was doing the written portion of the interview, I could hear a lady in her cubicle right next to me talking on the phone. It was VERY distracting."
"I guess the 30 min writing sample but it wasn't that bad"
"nothing."
"The essay part that you have to write after the interview"
"The surprise (not so much a surprise for me though) essay that we had to write after the interview"
"They are always running behind"
"the surrounding area of the school looked a little ghetto, but then again, they are still recovering from hurricane katrina"
"Labs look old. "
"..."
"I wish I would have known how informal it would be. I was stressed out all week over nothing."
"nothing"
"The interview is composed of a 30min verbal interview and a 30 written portion. Look if you have weak written skills. Practive writing essays every day before you arrive for the interview. Books that helped me were the princeton guide to the GRE. This book is a great resource for analytical writing. "
"Not really"
"They rather girls wear skirts than slacks."
"The cost of living has gone up since hurricane katrina, and it might be difficult to find a place to rent."
"Body language is important."
"..."
"This was a very easy interview. The interviewer didn't even write anything down. Either it was pass or fail, or I was given a courtesy interview, but they don't seem like they would waste time with courtesy interviews."
"I think I did good on my interview orally and the written part, it was hard for me to read my interviewer. I don't know what impression I left on him."
"It was like more of a conversation, the interviewer were nice but a little intimidating. I guess I was a nervous wreck that's why he seemed intimidating."
"The interview was good. The person who interviewed me was polite and looked throughout my file and asked me questions about my transcript and the individuals who recommended me."
"It was like a conversation. The interviewer just wants to make sure that the new P1 takes the program serious because many students don't once they are in."
"It was very positive, very laid back. It was more of a conversation between the me and my interviewer. I really liked how they gave me a chance to ask any questions I had."
"I arrived at the front office where i waited about 20 minutes for my interviewer to come get me. Then he introduced himself and we walked to his office where the interview was held. It was very laid back, more like a conversation. It was an open file interview so he asked me a couple of things from my transcripts. Nothing too stressful. After the interview he let me know that we should expect to hear from the admissions committee about the first or second week of april. You recieve a score for the interview portion and a score for the essay portion. Then you are ranked among all the candidates. Xavier does give preference to their own students so I asked how many seats were still available, but he didn't know. However, he said that just being there was a good sign. Apparently, they only interview people they really want. Also, the essay is after the interview and everyone gets a diff. topic. They are pretty random, not really dealing w/ pharmacy."
"Arrived 20 minutes early. was asked to wait in the lobby. No other students were there for interview. Had time to talk to a pre pharm student for a while. Interviewer walked in and interview was conducted in a cubicle (conference room) in the pharmacy admissions office. Interviewer was friendly and polite and mostly tried to make sure I realise how a career in pharmacy is good and how Xavier is a good place to study. "
