"There's an elderly couple on a fixed income. You prescribed the wife with medication to lower her blood pressure. However, when she comes in for a visit, you find her blood pressure to be very high. What impressed you positively?

"The children's hospital was fantastic! Early clinical exposure using the standardized patient(the demo during the interview was impressive). The students were genuinely happy to be there. Students tend to work together instead of against one another. Dr. Lewis, the dean, was very charismatic and helped relaxed the interviewees. EVMS has extremely affordable housing (about $700 for a 2 bedroom apt across the street from school). I stayed with a student who was very nice and hospitable even though it was finals week." What impressed you negatively?

"The interview was in the afternoon so most of the interviewees were tired. Some had to wait 1.5 hours before they interviewed." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"That the school was so terrific...This was my first interview so I didn't take it seriously...which I now regret." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"I was extremely impressed with the school and the students. I would be more than willing to move from the west coast to the east coast to attend EVMS. The tour given by the students was great. I got to go into the physiology lab to check out the cadavers! If you are looking for a school that emphasizing more on the art of medicine than the science of medicine, this is the school for you!"
