"Every single student replied "It was the only school I got in to" when I asked them why EVMS... Norfolk General is an aging hospital - and not a very busy level 1 trauma center.." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"curriculum is very conservative, norfolk is actually really pretty, definitely park on the streets around the school instead of paying for parking" Report Response

What are your general comments?

"The panel interview was supposed to have 3 interviewers - a first year student, a clinician and an academic. My clinician didn't show up. The academic had weak personal skills, made me feel uncomfortable, and asked weird questions. She also made every attempt to make things more stressful by making comments under her breath and questioning me. You should know they make a practice of asking ethical questions, and pushing you about your responses to see if you'll budge. The students who gave us the tour did warn us about this - but I was surprised at how unprofessional my interviewer was. The student interviewer was nice, but she didn't say much. Also, you MUST give them a very clear answer as to why you are interested in EVMS. Lie if you must, but they only want people who are completely enthusiastic about their school." Report Response
