"If I was an observant Jew (They don't discriminate based on religion, it is just that Tel-Aviv is a very cosmopolitan and secular city, so some observant Jews do not feel comfortable there, I guess)" Report Response | I was asked this question too

"Went onto the school's website. Re-read my application and reviewed the main points I wanted to cover." Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"How seriously they take their academics and reputation, this is definitely NOT a diploma mill. Also they are chartered by the state of New York so if you apply for residencies in that state, you are not considered a foreign grad." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"I did not realize that their clinical years were so strong. During your rotations they dont make you do the usual 'busy work'. Instead, you work with the chief of the department (not an attending) and you are allowed to actually participate in surgical procedures, not just observe!" Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Overall, it was great. The night before the interview, there was a 2 hour info session led by recent grads and it was obvious that their enthusiasm for the program was genuine. The interview itself was like an informal conversation, the interviewer really puts you at ease and tries to get to know you." Report Response
