How did you prepare for the interview?

"SDN and a good glass of scotch the night before." Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"The school seems to have fantastic facilities and the new recreation building will be incredible. The library was also impressive. Can't complain about living in South Florida either. Their is also good opportunities for clinical "missions" in exotic South American villages and the rural Florida clinicals would also bring good experience." Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"Was very disappointed that the staff seemed to play the whole "DO is the only true patient-oriented doctor" game. Although this is mostly based off of my rather older gentlemen interviewers, I still got the impression that this mentality is prevalent. " Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"Again not very happy about the DO/MD game. Also make sure that your letters are exactly what they want. I didn't remember reading anywhere that the clinical reference letter must come from a DO and not an MD. So make sure you have sent 4 letters: 2 science and 1 nonscience faculty as well as 1 from a DO." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Overall, a nice school and great facilities. True that the mandatory attendance is rather juvenile considering you would hope to be treated like an adult. The school does also offer free Kaplan prep courses before Step 1 & 2 and the curriculum seems to break for a brief study period before both." Report Response
