"PBL seems like a great way to learn. It's actually not as unstructured as I thought it would be. There is some structure to it, and a faculty member is there to help the group guide you in the right direction." Report Response
"Their board scores did apparently rise b/c of PBL, but a student told me that what they actually do is have students take a practice board exam. If you don't score above an 80, then you can't take the boards yet. That kinda skews the statistics a bit. Also, the price tag that came along with the school for pretty much teaching yourself the material! " Report Response
"The pbl session we had to participate in (basically our interview) was about plumbing. It's just to get a feel as to what PBL is like. the only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that I felt I was competing with other students to say something as quickly as possible. (That's how you're assessed in the interview). And, one of the students I talked to during lunch said the same thing. So even though you're supposed to be in this noncompetitive enviornment, I still feel like it would've ended up being a race as to who can say the first learning need first." Report Response
